Consumer Technology and Innovation Show: innovative smart home technologies are shaping the lifestyle of the future

2021-06-09

In recent years, smart home has emerged as a blue ocean market worth hundreds of billions of dollars, driven by the rapid development of the Internet of Things and the surging demand of household users. With the rise of various emerging brands and industry leaders, this sector has entered into a new era where a broader range of smart items are used in everyday life.

The dedicated smart home pavilion at the first Consumer Technology and Innovation Show (CTIS), held in Shanghai on June 9, featured nearly 100 manufacturers.

The onsite industry forum co-hosted by Tuya Inc., a prestigious brand in the smart home sector, invited major industry players to share their insights on the future development of the industry. Mr Fu Qiang, Vice President of Tuya, said that the smart home industry is gradually evolving from single-product application to whole-house customization. The current house-based designs will be upgraded to be human-oriented. Their application scenarios will extend from in-house to outdoors as the idea of multi-device connectivity is transforming into an all-scenario smart solution, which is expected to be launched in the near future.

CTIS showcased an extensive range of cutting-edge technology, as well as the latest product ideas and designs such as smart switches, speakers, night lights, hydroponic planters and sweeping robots, which make everyday life more convenient and comfortable. In addition, visitors can also find a wide selectin of smart medical care products, including thermometers, massagers, and mouth cleaning devices.

Shenzhen Dituo Electronic Co., Ltd. brought their full range of smart aroma diffusers to the show, which can be remotely controlled by voice commands or by app, via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. The company plans to expand its product lines into smart humidifiers and air purifiers.

In partnership with platforms at home and abroad, Hangzhou Binthen Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. has launched a motorized curtain track, a patented product that is able to connect seamlessly to the user’s smart home system. The latest DIY series is even more convenient to use thanks to its ease of transportation and installation. The company plans to enhance research and development efforts in creating comprehensive smart home solutions for various platforms.

Shenzhen Alex Technology Co., Ltd demonstrated their smart audio glasses, bone conduction helmet audio device and bone conduction swimming headset. The latter has IPX8-rated waterproofing and offers a brand new listening experience underwater.

By featuring the latest innovations and industry trends, CTIS provides a quality platform to accelerate the development of the smart home industry, creating business and networking opportunities for exhibitors and attendees.
