With 50 years of experience in facilitating global trade, Global Sources has served tens of millions of buyers and suppliers around the world. As part of these efforts, the company introduced Global Sources MATCH—a business matching service helping buyers find the right suppliers through online and offline meetings.

Nevertheless, in the sourcing process, buyers may still encounter difficulties in meeting suppliers, improving matching efficiency and finding more business opportunities.

Therefore, in March 2022, Global Sources launched GS Selected, which features a series of product selection meetings enabling buyers of designated communities to pick the latest top-quality consumer electronics, without leaving their cities, from the designs of thousands of suppliers across China.

GS Selected meetings have been held in Shenzhen and Shanghai, which were widely praised by buyers and suppliers. According to as-yet incomplete statistics, at least four orders have been placed.

To create a relaxed sourcing experience for buyers, suppliers are not allowed to attend the meetings or promote their products in the meetings. If buyers show great interest in a product, online meetings with suppliers or exchange of business cards will take place with the permission of both sides.

GS Selected aims to serve both buyers and suppliers, and will not charge any fees to either side.
